Comprehensive Lesson & Training Program
The main focus of our program is to help you be successful with your horse. We have a straightforward approach to all training issues, and we enjoy working with a diverse group of horses and riders. You will learn to improve communication with your horse and to become an effective and confident rider. We will provide you with a solid foundation of arena riding skills, which will complement your "outdoors" riding and encourage positive experiences on the trail. Competition preparation is offered, as well as sensory training and clinics.

Training Packages:
Days of training may be either training rides or lessons.
5 days training - $525 (limited basis only)
4 days training - $465
3 days training - $410
2 days training - $335
We welcome those interested in part-time training, or those who wish to come into training for a limited time.
We will work with any age and breed of horse, in a joint effort with you, the owner, to accomplish your training objectives. We can work with your horse on impeccable ground manners, overcoming trailering issues, desensitization exercises, or preparing for any phase of competition.
Horses in training with us have frequent opportunities to work trail and sensory obstacles, school in our adjacent field with water crossings and cattle, ride out at our gorgeous local parks, and [by arrangement] pack into mountain and wilderness areas on our extended trips.
Haul-in Lessons:
A $15 trailer-in fee is required by Garrison Ranch and is due the day of your lesson.
30 minutes - $45
45 minutes - $55
1 hour - $65
(If you pre-pay for 6 or more lessons at a time, please take $5 off the cost of each lesson)
All lessons are geared towards teaching you to better communicate with your horse and fine tune your position, balance, seat, and aids. Above all, we want you to enjoy and strengthen the partnership with your horse.
Please arrive in safe attire at least 30 minutes prior to your lesson start time so that you may warm up your horse.
Cancellation Policy:
We must enforce a strict 24 hour cancellation policy. This means that if for any reason you cannot cancel your lesson 24 hours ahead of time, you will be charged the full price of the lesson.
Boarding at Garrison Ranch:
$400 per month or
$14 per day
Box stalls, double box stalls, stalls with paddocks, and indoor pens all may be available - Please call us to discuss available options.
Other Services (Please call for info or quote unless otherwise specified:)
- Riding and/or Packing Clinics.
- Training and instruction out on the trails.
- Competition coaching and horse show schooling; fees may vary depending on location and number of students or horses attending.
- Hauling @ $1.00 per mile. ****This service is only for students and training clients and not available to the public.****
- Finders Fee or Commission on Sale Horses - $750 minimum, plus any expenses, or 15% of the sale/purchase price.
